Pendant lights, designed and made in South Africa
DARK pendant lights are designed, engineered and manufactured in our Johannesburg workshop. The range runs from single sculptural pieces over a kitchen island to linear architectural runs built for boardroom tables, stairwells and double-volume spaces. Because we make them ourselves, drop length, finish and configuration are specification decisions rather than fixed catalogue options.
Materials and finishes
Blown and cut glass, solid brass, powder-coated steel, laminated oak and natural alabaster. Most fittings are offered in a range of finishes — satin brass, bronze, noir gold, ivory, chrome, black and white among them — so a pendant can be matched to a joinery or ironmongery specification rather than chosen off a shelf.
Sizes and configurations
Many designs come in more than one size or drop, and several are available as single, triple or cascading arrangements. Where a project calls for a length or configuration that is not standard, we make it to order.
Where pendants work best
Kitchen islands and breakfast counters, dining tables, stairwell voids, hotel and restaurant interiors, reception desks and bedside drops. For lower ceilings or where a drop is impractical, see our wall lights; for freestanding task and ambient light, see table lamps and floor lamps.
